Obituary

RAPID CITY -- Alice M. Gorman, 48, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at home. She was born November 19, 1959, to Samuel and Connie (Whittlenger) Tichi in Faith, S.D. Alice grew up in Isabel, living also in Spearfish, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Sioux Falls. On June 11, 1988, she was united in marriage to Gary Gorman in Spearfish. The couple made their home in Rapid City. Alice worked for Concourse Enterprises through Black Hills Workshop. Alice loved old-time love story movies, was very good at ceramics, recently enjoyed playing the piano and at one time had over 600 stuffed animals. She was a very kindhearted soul and loved her friends and family. She was a member of the Black Hills Diabetes Association and the Metropolitan Lions Club, (now the Downtown Lions Club). Survivors include her husband, Gary Gorman, Rapid City; her parents, Connie Tichi, and her boyfriend, Ken, Rapid City, and Samuel Tichi and his wife, Becky, Camp Verde, Ariz.; a brother, Allen Tichi, and his wife, Rose, San Jose, Calif.; six sisters, Margaret Broadbent and her husband, Tom, Black Hawk, Susan Scheuermann, Salinas, Calif., Patricia Seim and her husband, Eric, Rapid City, Vicky Bodily, Brigham City, Utah, and Katherina Visser and her husband, Dave, and Leslae Burwell and her husband, Mike, all of Camp Verde; a brother-in-law, Allen Gorman and his wife, Jeannie, Spanaway, Wash.; a sister-in- law, Lynn Beasley, and her husband, Frank, St. Roberts, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, four uncles, three aunts, her father-in-law, Thomas Gorman Jr., her mother-in-law, Delores Gorman, and a nephew. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Father Bill Zandri presiding. Inurnment will at the Hill City Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Downtown Lions or South Dakota Care/Daisy House.
