RAPID CITYAmy Katherine Muoz, 16, died as a result of an automobile accident near Johnson Siding, on Friday, January 16, 2009. She was born on February 20, 1992, in Rapid City to Angel and Barbara (Butts) Muoz. She grew up in Rapid City and attended Lincoln and South Canyon Elementary Schools, West Middle School and was currently a Junior at Stevens High School. Amy enjoyed playing soccer when she was younger, but really enjoyed spending any time with her nieces, nephews and the rest of her family. She also enjoyed shopping and fashion (she was a fashion queen) and joking around. Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Angel and Barbara Muoz, Rapid City, her five sisters, Wendy (Patrick) Honeycutt, Overland Park, KS; Karina (Mario) Rangel, Lucy (Mike) Thomson and Christy Muoz and her fiance Clayton Pourier, all of Rapid City and Gina Muoz and her fiance Lucas Good Shield, Thornton, CO; her paternal grandparents, Marcos and Guadalupe Muoz, Zinapecauro, Mexico and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clark and Margarita Butts. Visitation will be on Monday, from 5 until 7 p.m., with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4500 Jackson Blvd. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Father Dan Juelfs presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
