Rapid City Andrea Hamm, 70, Rapid City, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxilary Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 16, 1939 to Alvie and Grace Thompson in Cambridge, Nebraska. She had two brothers. Andy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and playing bingo. Andrea is survived by her husband, Ted E. Hamm, Rapid City; a brother, Gene (Barb) Thompson, Wenatchee, Washington; a daughter, Cindy (Eddie) Blewett, Black Hawk; two sons, Jim (Stacy) Johnson, Grand Island, Nebraska and Mike Johnson, Las Vegas, Nevada; two stepsons, Bret (Angel) Hamm and Bart ( Carey) Hamm, Rapid City; one stepdaughter, Brandi Ickes, Rapid City; nine grandchildren, Craig Clarke Naples, Florida, Christopher Wells and Cole Harbert, Black Hawk, Jerica and Kalie Johnson, Grand Island, Nebraska, Brinton and Mason Hamm and Clayton and Zachary Ickes, Rapid City; one great grandson, Alex Klapperich, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Norman Roy Thompson. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with Rev. Patrick Karn officiating. Inurnment will be at 10:00 A. M. Thursday, January 21 at Black Hills National Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Hills.
