Rapid City, SD – Grant Bergemann, 99, passed away on July 7th, 2017 in Rapid City, SD. Grant was born on May 21st, 1918 in Granton, WI. He was the son of Gustave Bergemann and Otelia (Breitenbock) Bergemann.

Grant graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a bachelor's degree. He served four years in the Army Air Corps (1942 - 1945). Grant and Mary were married in LaCrosse, WI in 1948. They raised their family in Bloomington MN where Grant owned and operated a construction supply company. In retirement they settled in Tucson, AZ. In his final year he and Mary relocated to Rapid City, SD to be close to family.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary (Potter) Bergemann; children, Mark (Patty) Bergemann, Joan (David) Deeny, Kent (Linda) Bergemann and Paul Bergemann; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, Rapid City. There will be a Private Family Service followed by inurnment in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Full Military Honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post #1273 and South Dakota Army National Guard.
