Anita Eloise Haines was the third child of Augustus and Gertrude Haines. Born on June 16, 1937, she lived most of her life in Rapid City.  She and her husband Fay Henrichsen were the parents of five children.  As partners in life, she and Fay were tireless workers as they ran Henrichsen Trucking, the gift shop at the Rapid City Airport and the Dinosaur Park Gift Shop.  Raising five active children in addition to being a full-time business owner resulted in a wide range of friends and acquaintances.  Her family is grateful for the compassionate professionals at Hospice Care who were essential partners in her care in the final months of her long and successful life.

Anita died in her sleep on December 13, 2023. A memorial service will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church on June 15, 2024 at 11:00.  The family requests that memorials be directed to Trinity's media ministry or the Monument Hospice program.

Anita is survived by her children: Craig (Carlea) Henrichsen, Vicki (Mike) Gonseth, Nancy Henrichsen (Todd Smith), Susan (Alex) Shusko and Wendy (Bob) Maxson, 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, sister (Virginia) and brother (Bill).
