Anna Thomas, a cherished resident of South Dakota for 70 years, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2023, in Rapid City, SD, surrounded by her nieces, Marie Derrickson and Sharon Kohut and three close friends: Sam Parsons, Elaine Paulson, and Carmen Kavanaugh.

She was born November 7, 1926, in Norristown, PA, to Angelo DeAngelis and Maria (Corbo) DeAngelis. Anna was married to Albert Thomas, and together they relocated to South Dakota, where they built their life. Over the years, Anna held various occupations before retiring in 1996. She found great pleasure in playing cards, visiting casinos, and treating her friends to authentic Italian cuisine.

Anna is survived by numerous nephews and nieces and many special friends who provided unwavering support throughout her life's journey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Thomas, her parents, Angelo and Maria DeAngelis and sisters, Josephine (Harry) Alba, Bridget DeAngelis, Carmel DeAngelis, and her brother, Anthony (Rita) DeAngelis, along with other cherished friends.

Per Anna's wishes, she will be cremated, with a service to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Osheim-Schmidt.

Anna will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
