Rapid City - Arlene R. O'Hare, 101, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Fountain Springs Health Care Center, Rapid City. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Wiederspan & Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes and burial will take place next to her husband James Timothy O'Hare in the Beth El Cemetery at Cheyenne, Wyoming. Arlene Ruth Shafer was born April 6, 1913 at Burwell, Nebraska to Tracy J. and Sylvia E. [Stillwell] Shafer. This is the area she attended school. She married James Timothy O'Hare on September 28, 1933 at Omaha, Nebraska. Arlene was a stay-at-home mom and raised their three children. James died January 8, 1999. Survivors include her three children: Carolyn [Tom] Ceretto of Rapid City, James "Jim" O'Hare of Longmont, CO and Darrell [Phyllis] O'Hare of Pahrump, NV, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers: Claudia and Russell, and 2 grandchildren: Denise Ceretto and Jimmy O'Hare.
