Armina (Mike) M. Fallbeck, longtime former resident of Rapid City passed away on May 22, 2011 in Lihue, HI, during an extended visit to her daughter. Armina (Mike) M. Fallbeck was born February 13, 1921, in Philip, South Dakota, to John and Armina (Gaines) Daly. She and her mother moved to Rapid City in 1935, following the passing of her father. Mike (Mina) attended Cathedral schools and then graduated from Rapid City High School before attending the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. She married Robert J. Fallbeck on June 14, 1942. She is survived by her three children: Robert G. Fallbeck, Ft. Collins, CO, Patricia Fallbeck (and Tom Timmons), Koloa, HI, and JD (and Linda) Fallbeck, Cheyenne, WY, a niece, Gloria Daly, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Clare Daly, and her sister Denise (Bobbie) Laswell. Services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo In keeping with her dedication to education, Mike had donated her body to science.
