Rapid City Barbara E. [Larsh] Himrich, 71, Rapid City is at Peace with the Lord after a hard but short battle with cancer, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice of the Hills. She was born March 18, 1939 at Rosebud, SD to Frank and Nellie [Ross] Larsh of Millboro, SD, She was the youngest of eleven children. After elementary school she left South Dakota and went to school in Florida. She returned to South Dakota and moved to Rapid City and married Meade Himrich on July 6, 1976 and they lived in Rapid City for many years. Glad to have shared her life include her husband: Meade A. Himrich of Rapid City; one son: Gary Danny [Annette] Merritt of Hill City; one daughter: Carla [Mitch] Crawford of Johnson Siding; three grandchildren: Hunter, Caiden, and Cooper; one brother: John Casey Larsh of Rapid City; two sisters: Marvel Pugh of Rapid City and Hazel Peterson of Pierre, SD; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 23 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at the Selby Memorial Park Cemetery at Selby. Barbaras family requests no flowers and memorials in memory of Barbara may be sent to Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice of the Hills.
