Barton Leo "Bart" Elliott, 76, of Rapid City, died December 12, 2016 at the Custer Regional Senior Care.

He was born in Clayton, MO on April 23, 1940 to Raymond and Ella Pauline (Gilmore) Elliott.

He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps in the late 50's. Bart worked in the construction industry his whole adult life. Bart loved to build things. He worked for MG Oil as the construction and maintenance supervisor from 1991 until his retirement in 2008.

A Bronco fan from way back, he could often be seen sporting his blue and orange shirts and caps.

Bart was preceded in death by his parents, his daughters, Lisa Perry and Dawn Bove, his brothers; Raymond Elliott and William Elliott and his sister, Ladonna Wilkins.

Bart was survived by his wife Teri.  Teri passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2016.

He is survived his sons; Randy Elliott, St Louis and Jason Elliott, Denver, his daughter, Shelley Bail, Rapid City, his brothers; John Elliott (Brenda) Springfield, MO and Gary Elliott (Sheila), St Louis County, MO, 11 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Bart and Teri will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Herrboldt officiating.  A luncheon will follow.  Inurnment will be later at Black Hills National Cemetery.
