Rapid City - Bernetta "Boots" Moe, 88, died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Victorian Assisted Living Center. Boots was born April 27, 1927 at Battle Creek, Nebraska to Henry "Bud" and Birdie [Pilkens] Hinzman. She married Earl Moe on October 16, 1953 at Chamberlain, SD. They spent many summers fishing for walleye at Angostura Lake and at the Missouri River. Boots was active in the VFW Auxiliary for many years. Boots is survived by two brothers: Bill [Sharon] Hinzman and Don [Pam Escott] Hinzman both of Rapid City; two sisters: Mickie O'Neill of Rapid City and Shirlee [Dennis] Iden of Laguna Woods, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Earl on June 12, 2012; one brother: Bernalle and two sisters: Ann and Bonnie. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 21, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard. Her funeral service will be 9:30 am on Wednesday, July 22, at the funeral home with Rev. Herb B. Cleveland officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Memorials may be directed to the VFW Auxiliary, 420 Main Street, Rapid City.
