Bernice Woodle, 61 passed away on February 22, 2024 at home in Rapid City, SD.  She was born on St. George Island, AK to Benjamin & Feona Merculief.  She attended elementary school to 8th grade on St. George Island, AK.  She graduated from East Anchorage High School in Anchorage, AK.  Bernice belonged to the Russian Orthodox faith.

Bernice met her husband Calvin Woodle in Anchorage, AK and later moved to Rapid City, SD. She enjoyed life and being with family and friends.  She loved to grow flowers and vegetables.  She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes with her family.  She gave what she could to the charity organizations in Rapid City.  She worked at Sam's Club then later at TJ Maxx in Rapid City.

Bernice is survived by her husband Cal Woodle and her dog, Mrs. Jones; her sisters: Lori Merculief of WA, Anita Vogt, (Dean) of AK, Dolores Davis (Charlie) of NY, brothers: Dean Merculief, (Shirley) of AK and Jim Merculief of TX and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin & Feona.

Burial Service will be Friday March 1, 2024 at 2 pm at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
