Betty Ann Kidwiler, 66, passed away at Rapid City Regional Hospital April 7, 2011 due to her battle with cancer. Betty was born in Pierre, SD on April 5, 1945 to Pete and Violet Totton of Wood, SD. She spent her childhood in Wood and married Dennis Kidwiler on March 6th 1961, with whom she had two children, Kevin Kidwiler and Kim Myers, both of Winner, SD. In addition they had four grandchildren, Kelly Kidwiler, Katie Faldalen, Gavin Myers all of Winner and Grady Myers (Sarah) of Ethan, SD Amongst her personal accomplishments in life were owning and operating the Pizza Pub in Winner, a paralegal degree, an alcohol dependency counselor and co-authoring a mystery novel with her longtime friend, Merrilyn J. Grove, of Sioux Falls, SD. At the time of her passing she was a resident of Rapid City, South Dakota. Betty had also lived in Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, and Edinburgh, VA Her children, grandchildren, and brothers Edward Budnek of Cincinnatti, OH, Jody Totton of Promise, SD, and sisters Carmen Anderson of Jackson, MS, Betty Lou Tuttle of Witten, SD, and special friends Frank DiCesare and Dianne Kittock survive Betty. Preceding Betty in death were her brothers Ray and Jim Totton, her sister Charlotte Curtis, her parents, and son-in-law Scott Myers (Kim). Visitation will be at 11:00 am to 1:30 p.m., on Monday, April 11, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City. Services will follow on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Les Potts officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
