Betty Pervich-Bruns, 85, died December 24, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born, April 23, 1923 in Watertown, South Dakota to Everett and Birdie (Lehnen) Christianson. She moved to Rapid City with her parents in 1929. Betty attended Rapid City Schools, graduating in 1941. She married Phil Pervich, August 17, 1941 in Rapid City. They lived in Rapid City all of their lives except for a short time in Missoula, Montana. Betty worked for F.W. Woolworth and Barber Transportation and was a book keeper for the Barber Employees Federal Credit Union for 10 years. Betty married Dale M. Bruns, February 14, 1997 in Rapid City. She was a member of the Canyon Lake Senior Citizens Center, the Singers Group, and an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Dale, son, Michael Pervich and his wife Vickie, Centennial, Colorado and their children, Jennifer and Christopher and her brother Everett Christianson and his wife, Millie, Rapid City. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Phil. Services will be held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, Dec 30, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rapid City with Pastors Kenn Cragg and Bob Savot officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City. A memorial has been established to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
