RAPID CITY- Betty Lou (Cheley) Tobin, 85, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
She was born in Albert Lea, MN, to Arthur and Murrel (Johnson) Cheley. The family lived in several towns in Eastern South Dakota. Betty graduated in 1949 from Howard High School and moved to Chicago, IL, working for American Airlines. Betty came to Rapid City in 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a nephew.
Survivors include daughter Terry Tobin-Rezich (Paul), Rapid City; sons: Todd Tobin (Judy), Silver City; Timm Tobin (Tanya), Seattle, WA; Thom Tobin, Chicago, IL; niece, Jean England, Irvine, CA; and grandchildren: Adam Rezich, Seattle, WA; Michael Rezich, Sublimity, OR; Molly Rezich, Lincoln, NE; Brendan Rezich, Omaha, NE; Erin Rezich, Newark, DE; great nephews: Darren England, Jason (Francine) England, and Justin England.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 23, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service at 6:45 p.m. at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Brian Lane presiding.
Private family burial will be held at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established to the Blessed Sacrament Organ Fund.
