RENO, NEV. | Bill Short, 63, former Rapid City, SD, resident, passed away April 24, 2015, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, after a brief illness. Bill was born March 9, 1951, in Rapid City and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1969. After earning his degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming, he had his own CPA practice in Reno for the past 40 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife, Pamela Short of Reno; his daughter, Melanie Short of Sparks; his parents, Frank and Mary Ellen Short of Rapid City; and his sister, Gerianne Short of Fort Collins, CO. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ellen Short. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Walton Funeral Home Chapel in Reno.
