Brian Douglas Lee, 77, passed away on November 12, 2025. Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota to James O. Lee and Ferne H. Lee (Hunstad), Brian was a devoted husband, father, and professional. He married Donna J. Lee (Ness) on December 26, 1970, and they shared many years together before her passing in 2014.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Donna. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Monica) and James Lee;  and grandson, Magnus Lee.

Brian attended grade school and high school in Aberdeen, South Dakota, before going on to attend South Dakota State University. He spent over 43 years working for various Bell System companies and most recently he worked for Workplace Technology Center before his retirement. A longtime supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, he contributed to the organization at the Troop, District, and Council levels.

Throughout his life, Brian lived in Aberdeen, Mobridge, Rapid City and Pierre, South Dakota, before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be near family in recent years. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City on November 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

Brian's favorite place on earth was the Black Hills of South Dakota, where he found peace and joy in the beauty of the land.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Brian and Donna's memory.
