Bruce Edwin Dahl, 83, of Rapid City, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with funeral services immediately following at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Bruce is survived by his sons Brian (Jamie) Dahl of Spearfish, Brent (Mary) Dahl of Denver, and Eric (Julie) Dahl of Denver; his sister Sharon (Ron) Eilers and his nine treasured grandchildren: Gabriel, Samuel, Eric, Jack, Luke, Sarah, Grace, Adrion, and Anthony.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret.

Born on October 18, 1942 in Williston, North Dakota. Bruce grew up in a close-knit family with his brothers Manny and Kirby, sister Sharon and loving parents Edwin and Jane. Bruce met Margaret who was teaching in the Williston area, and they were married on April 4, 1964.

Bruce and Margaret began their life together in Minot and Williston, North Dakota, followed by Baker and Glasgow, Montana. During these early years, they welcomed their three sons—Brian, Brent, and Eric. Bruce spent his entire career with Montana Dakota Utilities, and in 1978, a promotion within MDU brought the family to Rapid City. There, they established deep roots, becoming active members of the community and building a life surrounded by family and friends.

Above all, Bruce cherished the simple joys of life—spending time with family and friends, staying active in the community, and sharing stories around the table with those he loved. He had a gift for bringing the past to life, often recounting memories with warmth, humor, and vivid detail.
