Obituary

Brynlee Ann Palmer, 3, of Rapid City went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, May 18, 2020.

A private family service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Berg officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Rapid City.

Brynlee was born March 29, 2017 in Rapid City to Zach & Jaime (Brandsted) Palmer.

She had eyelashes like a movie star, which made everyone jealous.  She had chubby cheeks and rolly-polly arms and legs.  Her skin was like porcelain, and she had a sweet dimple to her right cheek that she curled upward when she was flustered, but most of all, she had bits and pieces of her mom and dad, that made Bryn the special girl she came to be in this world.

Brynlee was a "Little Fighter" from day one.  She conquered so much in her short life, and she did it with such strength and determination.  She lived through many ups and downs, and she wasn't willing to give up without a fight.  She traveled from state to state and made it all the way to Boston.  She became a celebrity, in which we all would dream to be, and was the poster child for Bikers for Brynlee.

Brynlee's life was short, but her mom and dad made it extra special.  Brynlee loved her soft "blankees," and it seemed she got a new one every other day (dad can attest, right mom?).  One of her favorite joys was rolling around holding herself up, looking around, and catching tidbits of Frozen.  She was also a natural born "lake girl."  She was "Queen" of Uncle Jody's boat, and it didn't matter if she was having a bad day, it turned right side up when she got to lounge in her corner under the shade.  Just like her mommy, she enjoyed the heat, the sun, and the lake.

Little Miss also enjoyed long walks, whether it was here, there, or anywhere.  Sometimes all it took was a bout of fresh air to make her smile.  And, who could forget, the never-ending supply of burpees, or the special-made "hand socks."  Brynlee loved her fingers, and it finally got to the point, they needed to be covered.  She had the softest hands, and the daintiest fingers.  Her hair resembled a "little cockatoo," and everyone curled it between their fingers.

Let's just say, Bryn Bryn had a sweet tooth.  She loved her orange tootsie pops and her lifesaver gummies.  And, on special occasions, she got to enjoy strawberry butter ice-cream.

For Bryn, it was the little steps that mattered.  She worked hard day in and day out, working with her therapists and conquering her milestones.  She mastered the tripod sitting position like no other, and even though she didn't like it, she succeeded in her "stander."  She lovingly gazed at mom and dad, every move they made.  She wouldn't let them out of her sight.  Her favorite toys were the little "light spinners" that were colorful and bright.  Let's just say she conquered the crib, but mom and dad didn't, so she got to sleep next to them and dream sweet nothings every night in their comfort.  In the end, Brynlee was such a BIG miracle in such a LITTLE girl.

In such a short time, Brynlee was called to Heaven.  She has touched the hearts and lives of many, and her life will live on forever.  She is now running in the wind, dancing in the rain, and giggling nonstop in the comforts of Heaven.  Sweet girl, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.  Dream BIG Little Girl.   Until we meet again . . .

Brynlee is survived by her parents Zach & Jaime Palmer, grandparents; Scott & Valerie Brandsted, Mike Deb Palmer, great-grandparents; Ray & Bev Palmer, Joan Phelps, uncles and aunts; Gabe (Athena) Palmer, Derrick (Christina) Gabrielson, Jody (Cassie) Brandsted, Jason (Kelly) Brandsted along with many cousins and beloved friends.
