Obituary

Hot Springs - Carole Ann O'Bryan, 78, of Hot Springs, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Fall River Hospital at Hot Springs. Carole Allen-Fleming-O'Bryan was born on November 27, 1933 (one of twins) to Martin B. and Mollie Marie (Bruguier) Allen in Pine Ridge. She lived and attended school in Martin, Pine Ridge and Oral, where she graduated from the eighth grade. She graduated high school at St. Mary's School for Girls in Springfield. Her first marriage was to Kyle Fleming on February 2, 1952 in Hot Springs. Three children were born to this marriage: Cheryll Ann, Kyle Ray Jr. and Monty Lou Fleming. Carole lived in the Oral area, and worked at Maverick Junction as a night cook from 1960-1971. Her second marriage was to Patrick O'Bryan on April 3, 1973 in Rawlins, WY, where they worked in road construction for a few years before moving back to their ranch North of Hot Springs. From 1982 until 1992 they owned and operated a bar and restaurant in Hill City and the Red Eye Steak House in Hot Springs for one year. After selling both businesses they moved back to their ranch, which they sold in 2002 and moved to Hot Springs. Carole was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Hill City and La Societe de La Femmere in Hot Springs and held several nationale, grande and locale offices. She also belonged to the Eagles Club in Rapid City. Carole is survived by her husband Pat, daughter Cheryll Jenniges, Belevdere; stepdaughter Lorinda, Winner; four sisters, including her twin Doris Hicks, of Martin, Peggy Taylor, of New Mexico, Kathy Pesicka, of Rapid City and Judy Kamerzell, of Martin; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Kyle Ray, and Monty Lou and brothers Don and Philip. Funeral services will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs on Thursday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. Father Claude E. Vershure will officiate with inurnment following at 2:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery.
