Sioux Falls Carroll P. Janis, 57, Sioux Falls and formerly of Rapid City died and took his Journey to the Spirit World on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his residence. Carroll Philbricke Janis was born January 25, 1953 to Harry Winifred and Alice E. [Hernandez] Janis. Survivors include his wife: Virginia Marie Janis of Sioux Falls, SD; two sons: Conan Janis of Kyle, SD and Dustin Janis of Sioux Falls, SD; three daughters: Satin Janis of Sioux Falls, SD, Violet Richards of Rapid City, SD and Deserea Richards of Kyle, SD; one adopted son: Richard Black Eyes of Kyle, SD; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: Carlos Podo Janis, Jr and Dreamie Lee Janis; and one sister: Linda Kills Small of Rapid City, SD. There will be a 2-Night Wake beginning on Wednesday, May 12 at 12:00 noon at the He Sapa New Life Church, 415 MacArthur Street, Rapid City, SD. Carrolls Graveside Service will be Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mt. View Cemetery with Rev. Ron Jensen officiating.
