IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Casey
Eleeson
November 17, 1987 – July 12, 2018
Casey Blaine Eleeson was born on November 17th, 1987 to Bruce Eleeson and Cindy Eleeson both of Rapid City, SD. She attended Meadowbrook Elementary, Southwest Middle School and graduated from Central High School in 2006. Casey was a loving daughter, an artist and had many interests. She grew up in the Black Hills and loved the outdoors. She loved to visit her Grandparents and stay at their Ranch near Harrold , SD. She participated in many sports while growing up but especially loved snowboarding at Terry Peak and in Colorado.
Casey loved to try new things. She had an adventurous Spirit. She would roller blade, water ski, ride motorcycles, four wheelers, snowmobiles, rock climb, jump off cliffs at Pactola and Sheridan Lakes, hike and camp. She had an infectious laugh and many friends. She had a loving relationship with her sisters, Kelli and Autumn. Kelli could not pronounce Casey when she was little so Casey became "Dee Dee" to Kelli. Kelli looked up to her older sister and wanted to do everything that "Dee Dee" did. Casey looked out for her little sister and loved her dearly.
Casey loved her family and cherished memories of our trips to Disney World, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. She especially loved shopping with Cindy in Denver and at the Mall of America in Minneapolis.
She had a special bond with animals and felt that she was fulfilling her life's purpose while working at the Humane Society in Huron. She always said, "The animals need me".
Casey will leave a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. We will miss her and she will be with us always. Our little girl is in a better place and we will meet with her again.
Casey is survived by her mother and father both of Rapid City, her sisters Kelli of Rapid City, Autumn Tidwell of Boulder City NV, her grandparents Roland and Betty Kleinschmidt of Harrold SD, her grandmother Elaine Eleeson of Philip SD, her Aunts and Uncles Ginger and Mike Johnson of Sturgis SD, Dawn and Lee Kleinschmidt of Harrold SD, Linda Upton of Fairbury NE, and her beloved dog and cat, Thor and Osiris. She is survived and loved by her many cousins. She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Duane Eleeson and her Cousin Jonathan Fanger.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Blvd., Rapid City, SD 57702.
