BLACK HAWK - Catherine Christina "Peggy" Rollins, 74, Black Hawk, SD, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at home. She was born April 8, 1935 in Hill City to RaIph E. Stinson (Mildred) and Velma Schonhard (Joseph Fosness.) Catherine married Lester C. Rollins July 4, 1953, in Rapid City. She was self-employed and enjoyed cleaning homes. In her younger years she enjoyed a good go-cart race and received multiple trophies for her winnings. Survivors include two daughters, Vicky L. Rollins-Smith of Black Hawk and Penny L. Denton and her husband, Brian of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, DaLynn Berry and her husband, Michael of Somerville, AL, Justin L. Rollins of Vermillion, Noel Denton of Indianapolis, and Donavin L. Smith of Black Hawk; siblings, Ralph Stinson and his wife, Lois of Milbank, Ronald Stinson of Spearfish, and Joann Tschetter, and her husband, Rich of Bridgewater. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Rollins; her son Leslie C. Rollins; a brother, Richard Stinson; and her parents. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Black Hawk Community Church, with the Rev. Mark Bauer officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Rapid City.
