Rapid City – Chad "Opie" Michael Lee Ludovissie, 45, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his mother's residence.

Chad Michael Lee Ludovissie was born December 9, 1971 in Staples, MN to Douglas and Sharon Ludovissie. He became known as "Opie" and was active in football and wrestling during his high school career. After high school Opie became a mechanic for Action Mechanical for several years.

Opie had many hobbies; he built and raced race cars, and loved riding his razor. His friends referred to him as "Razor Opie" and he loved hanging out with his family and friends.

Opie is survived by his mother: Sharon Ludovissie of Rapid City; brother James (Anji) of Rapid City; sister Jodi of Tuthill; nieces: Jade and Hallie of Tuthill; and nephews: Coby of Tuthill and Nate of New Underwood.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Theodore and Genevieve Ludovissie and Emmitt and Dorothy Callahan, his father Douglas Ludovissie and Uncle Brian Callahan.

Opie will have his final Razor ride in Nemo on June 23, 2017.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Big Mama's Bar near Nemo, SD.
