RAPID CITY | Christopher Olsen, 44, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at home. He was born July 22, 1968, in Bismarck, ND. He graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1988 and obtained a full time job at Stamper Black Hills Gold for 11 years. Chris was working at Black Hills Works. Chris is survived by his parents, Scott and Judy Olsen of Rapid City; brother, Craig and Dana Olsen and their children, Cian and Liv Olsen of Los Angeles, CA; and sister, Erin and Corey Pilot and their son, Nixon Pilot of Henderson, NV. Chris also had wonderful people in his life that helped and supported him: special friends, Cynthia Marvin (since elementary), Bobbi Haven (neighbor), and Angela Taylor (support through Mainstream). Chris' heart of gold, infectious smile and warm gentle soul will be missed by all of his friends and family. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis at a later date. A memorial has been established with Black Hills Works and Mainstream.
