Clarence Lowell Ogle, 65, of Rapid City, died on Monday, October 2, 2017 near Wall.
Clarence was born on November 2, 1951 in Huron, SD to the late Lowell Ogle and Katherine Schmitgen. Clarence graduated from Harrold High School in 1969 and went on to attend the University of South Dakota Springfield. He married the late Lorna Salathe in 1974. They welcomed three children into their home, a set of twins, Brian and Kristin and a son Travis.
Clarence was a hard worker and was always willing to help a guy out. He spent a good part of his life rebuilding cars and took great pride in the work he did. Clarence loved going to car shows, the race track and talking cars. He was an active participant in his kids and grandkids sports coaching and being a fan. Clarence will always be remembered for his infectious laugh.
Clarence is survived by his three children: Kristin (Mike Bickett), Travis (Jamea) and Brian (Melanie); nine grandchildren; brother's Mike, David, Dean, Larry and Gary; father in law Raymond Salathe and mother in law Mildred Salathe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Katherine (Schmitgen) Ogle, his wife, Lorna, in February of 2016, and a brother, James.
Celebration of life ceremonies will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 6 at the First Assembly of God Church, 4905 Mt. Rushmore Rd, in Rapid City.
Memorials may be directed to Harney Little League.
