Corporal Jason P. Chleborad, USMC, age 22, of Rapid City, passed into the Lords arms on February 14, 2012 as a result of an automobile accident in Dana Point, CA. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. Jason graduated from Stevens High School in 2008. He qualified for All State Chorus and played baseball for Stevens. He enlisted for a 6-year tour of duty with the United States Marine Corp in August of 2008. He served a seven month tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2011. Jason loved his Marine brethren and the brotherhood of the Marines. Survivors include his parents, Amy and Brian; brothers, Tanner and Austin; all of Rapid City; grandparents, Charles and Marion Nibbe, Ormsby, MN; Bob and Barb Chleborad, Rapid City; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jason was a warm, kind, loving gift from God. His sense of humor will be remembered by all. Jason touched the lives of many, including his friends and family; especially his two brothers. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Time of Sharing at 5:00 p.m.. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church, at 5311 Sheridan Lake Road, Rapid City. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, at Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. Interment, with Military Honors provided by the Marine Corp Honor Guard will be at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis. A memorial has been established in Jasons memory.
