Craig T. "Craiger" Grogan, 74, of Hot Springs, formerly of Redfield, SD, died Monday, March 14, 2022 at the
Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs.
He was born on September 12, 1947 in Miller, SD to Lloyd and Lola (Winegar) Grogan.
Craiger grew up in Wessington and Mobridge and in his later life Redfield, except for his time serving in the U.S. Army and attending college at Black Hills State University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
He moved to the SD State Veterans home for his health care in October of 2021.
Craiger was a member of the Catholic Church and a proud 37 Chip member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
His spirit will be greatly missed at Leo's Café in Redfield.
Craiger is survived by his sister, Colleen (Mike) Novotny of Winner, his college friend, Charlie Johnson, Hill City and his many friends in Redfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Marc and his lifelong adult friend, Joyce Halverson.
A graveside service will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery on April 4, 2022, Monday at 10:00am with military honors.
