Cynthia R. "Cindy" Hauk, 57, passed away unexpectedly July 5, 2015, at the family's lake home at Angostura Reservoir. She was born May 1, 1958, to James W. and Georgianna McLaren in Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her mother, Georgianna Rogers; her father, James McLaren; mother in-law, Bette Hauk; and sister-in-law, Marcia K. Hauk. Cindy and her mother moved to Rapid City where she graduated from Central High School in 1976. She married Frank A. Hauk on May 23, 1980. Two sons were born into this marriage: Nicholas "Nick" in 1987 and Daniel "Danny" in 1990. Cindy worked for various financial institutions as a loan officer in Rapid City before retiring from the business world in 2002. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Frank A. Hauk and sons, Nick and Danny, all of Rapid City; brother, James W. McLaren, Seattle, WA; father-in-law, Frank L. Hauk, Rapid City; brother- and sisters-in-law, Robert and Peggy Hauk, Rapid City, and Annette and Monty VanDover and Carole and Jim Koellner, all of Austin, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at a later date for family and friends.
