Dale Norman Brumbaugh, 66, of Rapid City, passed away Monday, August 2 ^nd , 2021, in Ritzville Washington on his way back home to be with his family.

Dale was born May 17, 1955, in Riverside, CA, to Charlea and Norman Brumbaugh. The Brumbaugh family traveled often due to Norman being in the United States Army but eventually settled in Rapid City in 1966 where Dale graduated in the early 70's.

Dale worked for McKie Ford as a Senior Master Technician for over 20 years. He assisted in opening the diesel division where he worked in all areas of mechanics. Everyone called Dale when they needed help with anything mechanical. He knew exactly what was wrong with any vehicle just by a brief description or a sound explanation. Dale loved spending time with his family and in his spare time loved helping anyone he could. He would do absolutely anything for anyone, no request too large.

Dale was a biker at heart. Through that and his many other walks of life, he obtained many great friendships. He was someone people could confide in. Luck was never on Dales side but that didn't stop him from living his best life. He was a free soul who kept his head held high no matter the circumstances. Dales massive heart and his positive outlook on life will shine on through everyone he impacted- which was many.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Charlea and Norman Brumbaugh; granddaughter, Bella Brumbaugh; brother in-law, James (Whitey) Broderick and sister in-law, Linda Brumbaugh.

Survivors include his children Kalista, Jody, Sascha and Charlea; daughter-in law, Renee; future son-in law, Justus; grandchildren Zachery & Bella, Kolton & Ashley, Presley, Matthew, Payton & Dakota, Brynn, Rylee, Connor, Melanie, Jason, and Aja; great grandchildren, Gia and Koen. Dale is also survived by his siblings Ed, Don, Carol, and his sister in-law, Linda; Lastly, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Dale requested a simple cremation, followed by a celebration of life for family and anyone else who loved him, 12:00pm-2:00pm August 21, 2021, at Osheim Schmidt Funeral Home. With a reception and luncheon immediately following at the Rapid City VFW club.
