KEYSTONE | Dallas Wade Dietrich, 68, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Dallas was born on May 28, 1948, the son of Louis F. and Barbara M. (Smith) Dietrich of Wolf Point, MT. He grew up on the family farm at Plentywood, in northeastern Montana. Dallas attended grade school and high school in Wolf Point. After high school he graduated from National College in Rapid City.

Dallas married Mary Phillip on June 14, 1969, in Alliance, NE. They made their home primarily in Rapid City, where their two children, Dawn and Deric were raised. Dallas and Mary owned and operated businesses in Rapid City, Spearfish and Keystone. In 1999, they moved east of Keystone to the mining town of Otho which they converted to a destination camp for those with disabilities. Dallas greeted everyone with a smile and a hug, his kindness and positive nature was felt by everyone he met.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Mary; sisters, Debra Dietrich, San Francisco, CA, and Lu (Dean) Simensen and Lynette (Kenn) Simensen, both of Minot, ND; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Janice (Archie) Lawrence, Alliance, NE, Don (Verlene) Phillip and Roberta (Jerry) Upton, Hermosa and Randall Phillip, Rapid City; father-in-law, Robert Phillip, Hermosa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his children, Dawn and Deric, and son-in-law, Joseph Krutzky; his parents, Louis and Barbara Dietrich; and his mother-in-law, Bernadine Phillip.

Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Brian Lane and Deacon Roger Hight presiding. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services. Immediately following the Mass, a lunch will be served.

Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
