Daniel P. Sisk, 66, died January 28, 2013, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Dan was born in Rapid City on June 6, 1946, to Lorraine and Bruce Sisk. After graduating from Rapid City Central High School in 1965, he joined the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. Dan moved to Long Beach, California, and was employed by Pioneer Electronics and Douglas Aircraft. Dan returned to Rapid City in 1995 and worked at Mikhon Gaming. He transferred with the company to St. George, Utah. Dan moved back to Rapid City in 2001 and later retired. Dan enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, and following his nieces' and nephews' activities. He loved to visit with everyone at family gatherings and had a great love of family. Dan was always well abreast of world affairs and sports teams; he took pleasure in talking to people. Dan enjoyed reading books and watching movies. Survivors include four brothers: David Sisk (Susan Douglas) of Sheridan, Wyoming; Doug Sisk (Ruth) of Rapid City; Jeff Sisk (Elizabeth) of Ingalls, Indiana; Bob Sisk (Laurie) of Kimball, Nebraska; and two sisters: Becky Wentz (Ken) of Tucson, Arizona; and Laurie Driscoll (Whitney) of Spearfish. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Chaplain (Ret.) Herb B. Cleveland officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Rushmore VFW Post 1273 and the South Dakota Army National Guard will be at 12:30 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to benefit the Cornerstone Rescue Mission's VA Center.
