RAPID CITY - David Robert Gresch, 89, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Fountain Springs Healthcare in Rapid City.

David was born on Monday, October 9, 1933 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Clarenece and Louisa Gresch.  As a young man, he joined the United States Air Force in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1955.   In 1957, David married Dorothy Dieter on January 19 and also graduated from Stout State College that same year.  Together, they had three children; Cynthia, Robert and Thomas.

During his career, David enriched the lives of many young people as a teacher of industrial arts and tech-ed.  He also was a member of the Elks Club and served as an AARP Driver Safety Instructor.

David is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gresch, his children; Cynthia Gresch of Rapid City, Robert Gresch (Cynthia) of League City, TX, and Thomas Gresch (Sue) of Dayton, NV.  He also leaves behind two grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends.

A private interment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery.   No public services are planned at this time.  Should friends desire, a memorial contribution may be made to Black Hills Works.
