David Page, 87, joined his wife Beverly in Heaven on Friday, November 8, 2024. He was born in O'Neill, Nebraska on May 30, 1937. David was raised on the Family farm and as a boy, he attended his local Church where he participated in the Choir. In High School he was active in sports, the drama club and the FFA. After High School this bright and motivated young man earned his Associates degree in Electronics. He helped install a modern water pump, upgraded lighting and improved amenities to the Family farm. In June 1958, David enlisted in the US Army where he served for three years.
On May 22, 1960, he wed Irma Beverly Hynes in Scenic, South Dakota. Together, they grew their family to include three children. David had a 43-year career with the US Postal Service where he served as the Postmaster of several towns and later retired as a Supervisor. Beverly died April 20, 2024, after 63 years of marriage.
David was a loving and selfless man that was devoted to God, his wife and his children. He was a Little League Baseball coach, a Master electrical & mechanical fabricator, a Corvette & Cadillac enthusiast and a wonderful Father that always attended his children's activities. He will be remembered for putting the needs of others ahead of his own.
He is survived by his children; Karmen Page, Darren Page (Lynn) and Lisa Deitz (Brian), grandchildren; Coleton, Caden, Alec, BreElle, Vanessa and Taylor, great-grandchildren; T.R., Hughy, B.J. and Josefine as well as many other loving family members and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hattie Page and his wife, Beverly Page.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Crossroads Wesleyan Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 and a meal and time of fellowship will follow the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Black Hills National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
