Fort Meade David W. Stinson, 83, Fort Meade, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War from 1945 to 1966. Survivors include one sister, Marlene Gullickson, Dayton, MN and many Nieces, Nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion V. Stinson and a brother Raymond Stinson. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Chaplain (Ret) Herbert B. Cleveland officiating. Interment with military honors by Ellsworth Air Force Base 28th Bomb Wing Honor Guard will be 12:00 noon on Friday, June 10 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Childrens Home Society, 1330 Jolly Lane, Rapid City, SD 57703.
