Hill City – Dawn Anderson, 49, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home in Hill City under hospice care.

Dawn Michelle Goehring was born December 25, 1967 at Parkston, SD to Miles and Betty [Brunken] Goehring. As a small child the family moved to Rapid City as her father was in the United States Air Force and was at Ellsworth Air Force Base. She grew to adulthood and attended school in Rapid City. She married Paul Anderson on October 21, 1989 in Rapid City. She became employed with Black Hills Gold by Coleman where she worked for over 25 years.

She enjoyed being at home with her family and her many pets throughout the years. Dawn also enjoyed flowers and working in the garden.

She is survived by her husband Paul Anderson of Hill City; one son Chris Anderson of Webster; one daughter  Jessica [Casey] Whitney of Custer; five grandchildren; her parents Miles and Betty Goehring of Pine Haven, Wyoming; one brother Chad [Colleen] Goehring of Webster; and paternal grandmother Bethel Goehring of Mitchell.

Dawn was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.

Private services will be held at a later date by the family.
