Dawn R. Taecker, 57, of Rapid City, passed away April 2, 2008 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House. She was born January 23, 1951 in Redwood Falls, Minn. To Ray and Verna Donaldson. She grew up in Watertown where she met the love of her life, Bruce Taecker. On February 11, 1969 they were married. The couple moved to Rapid City shortly thereafter. Dawn was a stay at home mom for several years. In February of 1987 she went to work for Wilson, Olson, Nash Attorneys at Law. She worked there until the time of her retirement in 2007. Dawn enjoyed traveling to Mexico with Bruce. The first trip to Mexico was on their 20th anniversary in 1989, (a honeymoon at last!). She took the greatest time and pleasure in her family. Dawn always wanted to be a mom and was the best mom to her two children. She was a beloved daughter, wife, sister and mother. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband and love of her life, Bruce, Rapid City, son Scott Taecker and his wife, Toni, Piedmont, daughter, Stephanie Harrington and her husband Scott, Rapid City, her mother, Verna Donaldson, Black Hawk, a sister, Gwen Fenhaus and her husband Harold, Rapid City and three grandchildren; Dyllan and Madison Harrington and Jade Taecker. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Donaldson and nephew, Richard Fenhaus. Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, 3500 Canyon Lake Dr., with the Pastors Bob Ruedebush and Rebecca Trefz officiating. Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements. The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, MN. For all of the extra years they gave us with our beautiful soul that is now resting. The family suggests memorials to Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice House.
