IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah A.
"Deb" Stewart
March 3, 1969 – July 24, 2018
RAPID CITY- Deborah Ann (Schrader) Stewart, 49, lost her battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family on July 24th, 2018.
'Deb' was born on March 3rd, 1969 to Darrell and Annie (Doyle) Schrader. After Deb graduated high school, she attended Normandy Community College in Minnesota, where she obtained her Associates of Arts. She later became certified as an Ophthalmic Medical Technician at Ramsey Medical Center.
On July 16, 1988, Deb married Kevin Stewart in Rapid City. They have two children, Kody and Kassandra. They made their home in Rapid City, where she worked at the Rapid City Regional Eye Institute. She most recently worked for Dr. Bernard and Dr. Linquist at the Rapid City Medical Center.
Deb was a kindred spirit. She loved life in so many ways. Some of her interests included hunting, Taekwondo, snowmobiling, hiking, going to plays, making beloved pets out of unique animals, and the motorcycle rally. Deb was a member of the Women's Chapter of the Moose #1221. She enjoyed working with her EBay business and embraced her patriotism to the fullest extent. One of Deb's greatest accomplishments was to help document and edit the book, Journey For Freedom with Pete and Lily Vodenka.
Deb was fearless and loyal. What the world will miss the most is her affection and friendliness to everyone she encountered. She was a very family oriented person and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her new grandaughter. The world may have lost a beautiful, bright and loving soul, but the angels in Heaven are surely rejoicing with their newest member.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill & Dorothy Schrader and Emmett & Hazel Doyle; her brother Donald Dean Schrader and many other members of her family. There is no doubt that Deb has been embraced and welcomed by her family that has gone before her.
Deb is survived by her husband, Kevin Stewart; son, Kody (Ronny Miller) Stewart; daughter, Kassy (Chris) Zivny Stewart; parents: Darrell & Annie Schrader, brothers: Dennis (Kim) Schrader; Doyle (Shelly) Schrader; Dayle (Christine Achtein) Schrader; LeRoy Doyle; Dan (Tina Grossman) Doyle; Dirk Doyle; many nephews and neices, many aunts and uncles; and two special sisters: Rhonda Janis and Kathy Cooley.
Visitation will be from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with a Christian Wake service at 8:00 p.m.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Fr. Matt Fallgren presiding.
