RAPID CITY | Debra Kay Ohlmacher, 55, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012. She was born July 10, 1957 in Rapid City. Her parents were the late Albert and Rosemary Ohlmacher. She graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1975 and the University of South Dakota in 1980 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a hygienist for 30 years in Rapid City. Deb had a great love for life, for family, friends, and her pugs. She had a wonderful network of friends and her wonderful sense of humor was appreciated by all. She enjoyed volleyball, hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Her kind generous heart was extended to her family, friends, and her patients. She saw the best in people and always had kind words to say about them. Having a special love for animals, she had several pets of her own and loved spending time in her backyard watching the wildlife. She supported the Humane Society and the Pug Rescue network. Deb loved to spend time with her only son, Justin. She was so proud of all the accomplishments in his life and would be so happy to share a story about what he was doing to anyone. She loved it when Justin would come home and cook for her and bring home new foods for her to try. Deb and her son both shared the love for skiing and many times were found on the ski slopes laughing and smiling together. She is survived by her son, Justin Ohlmacher of Denver; three sisters, Pat Fox, Lexington, KY, and Mikal (Alex) Kulesza and Barb (Tim) Rauert, both of Rapid City; a brother, Tom (Sharon) Ohlmacher, Denver; and many nieces and nephews.
