Rapid City Delores M. Deisch, 83, Hot Springs, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the RCRH Hospice of the Hills, Rapid City, SD. She was born October 12, 1927 in Presho, South Dakota to Olaf and Levia [Ray] Johnson. She grew to adulthood in Presho and attended school there and graduated from Presho High School in 1945. She then attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls for a year. In 1952 she moved to Rapid City and she married Ronald L. Deisch on August 26, 1952. She and Ron raised three daughters. While her children were young, she was a stay-at-home mom to raise her daughters. She later worked in various businesses in Rapid City, including Stones Upholstery, which later became Stones Furniture. They continued to live in Rapid City until 2010 when they moved to Pine Hills Retirement Community in Hot Springs. In May of 2011 Delores became a resident of the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff for their love and excellent care. She is survived by her husband: Ronald L. Deisch of Hot Springs; three daughters: Deb [Tom] Gilliland of Rapid City, SD, Shelly [Gary Brundige] Deisch of Custer, SD, and Lisa [Briann] Larson of Kimball, SD; and four granddaughters: Maggie, Ally, Amanda, and Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Della Morgan, Wilma Thomson, and Eleanor Jones. She is a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the Quilting Guild in the church and a member of the Canyon Lake Senior Citizens. Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 15 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5311 Sheridan Lake Road, Rapid City with Rev. Dwight Stensgaard officiating. Burial will be 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 15 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
