The last song of the hummingbird and an autumn wind took Delores Mae O'Daniel, 84, home on Sept. 27, 2018.

She was born Dec. 8, 1933, to William and Julia (Russell) McGaa.

Delores met the love of her life, Robert "Sonny" O'Daniel and they were married for 67 wonderful years.

Through this union three children were born; James B. O'Daniel, Timothy P. O'Daniel, and Robert Kelly O'Daniel, all of whom became police officers.

Delores was an Air Force military wife for 25 years, a faithful, loving Mother to her family.

She adored her eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Delores was proud of her accomplishments to her church, St Isaac Jogues. She ran the clothing store for the church and was a Sunday School teacher for over 25 years.

The family will celebrate her loving and long life at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.

Inurnment of her ashes will be at Black Hills National Cemetery at a future date.
