Dennis R. Jensen, 61, Rapid City, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born December 3, 1946, in Royal, Nebraska, to Roy and Esther (Warner) Jensen. Dennis was a graduate of Nebraska Vocational Technical School and a member of the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1967. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Weber on June 19, 1971. Dennis owned and operated an aerosol sales business. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dennis was a creative electrical and mechanical engineer who loved a good challenge. He either had or made the appropriate tools for any task. Dennis is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jensen, Rapid City, a son, Cory Jensen, Denver, CO, a daughter, Jennifer McBride and her husband, Taylor, Cleveland, Ohio, 3 brothers; Eugene Jensen, Orrick, MO., Jerry Jensen, Orrick, MO., and LaVern Jensen, Japan, and a sister, Janice Klug, Norfolk, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Wednesday, June 11 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 12, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Father Dan Juelfs presiding. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post 1273.
