Diane Marie Dahl, 77 of Rapid City, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Diane was born on August 26, 1948, in Flandreau SD and graduated as a Flandreau Flyer. Diane continued her education at Nettleton Commercial College with a focus on professional accounting and received her diploma in April 1970. Diane used her education to become an enrolled agent for the IRS and enjoyed a 25-year career with Casey Peterson and Associates.

Diane met her husband of 50 years, Darrell, in Sioux Falls before moving to Rapid City to raise their family. Diane was a devoted mother to four children and supported their steady growth over the years. She later loved to spoil her 4 granddaughters, who were also great sources of pride and joy to Diane.

Diane was an active volunteer in a variety of organizations and non-profits, including P.E.O., Clothe-a-Kid, Love I.N.C., Birth Right, and Junior League, as well as helping in many capacities within her church, St. Therese the Little Flower.

Diane is survived by her husband, Darrell; son, Jason (Rachel), daughters: Theresa (Nathan Kutil) and Monica, and granddaughters: Berkley and Whitney Kutil, and Jessica and Molly Dahl, her sisters: Catherine (Robert) Brown and Mary “Patricia” (Kenneth) Duncan, her nephews and a niece.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; William and Inez Campbell, her son; Michael, her aunts and uncles, and a niece.

"One cannot be fully alive without relationships with others. We are made for love, to be unified in giving and receiving with others."- Mother Theresa, Diane lived a life full of love and gave of herself until she could give no more. May her generosity to others be what she is best remembered for.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation of time to a local community organization in honor of Diane.
