Diane Jane Kreimann, 92, died Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Monument Health Rapid City Regional Hospital.
She was born Thursday, November 2, 1933 in Pierre, SD to Lester De Alano and Catherine Alice (Cressman) Price. She attended school here and then the family moved to Custer, SD where she graduated from Custer High School in 1951.
She married James Ayres on July 6, 1952 at Remmington Chapel in Custer State Park and were married for 30 years. She then married Kenneth Kreimann on January 30, 1988 in Rapid City. They were married until his death on January 16, 2017.
Diane was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church her whole adult life. She was very involved as an Altar Guild member and President for many years. She was also a longtime member of the ECW.
She began helping in Scouting in 1963 as a troop leader and became council wide president for many of her active years. She was involved with extension club as well.
A talented seamstress and tailor, she often took in sewing, sewing wedding dresses and alterations among the many projects she undertook. She worked professionally making draperies and custom shades in her later years. She also worked at Rudolph’s Shoes downtown Rapid City for many many years.
She is survived by her son: Randall (Joyce) Ayres of Rapid City; three daughters: Sandra (Kevin) Atwater of Rapid City, Laurie Dickhute of LaMrada, CA, and Julia Sparks of Rapid City; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Dennis (Ernestine) Price and one sister Sherill Price.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Janine Walz, and one brother Jay Price.
Her Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, May 18 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Burial Service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
