RAPID CITY- Diann Marie Lord joined her Father in Heaven on Sunday, July 13, 2014. She was born Diann Rathburn on December 2, 1949. She was preceded in death by both her parents, Charles and Gail Rathburn, and two of her three siblings, Mark Rathburn and Paula Krmpotich. Diann was an avid sewer of clothing and other projects, and never saw a piece of material she didn't like. She also was active in Bells of the Hills, as well as the South Canyon Lutheran Church bell choir, and she also played clarinet in the New Horizons band. Amongst all this she provided pediatric Physical Therapy services on both the Pine Ridge and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte reservations. She was an Occupational Therapist for twenty years, and went back to school to get her Master's degree in Physical Therapy at age 39. She had a knack for working children really hard while they thought they were playing games with the nice lady. She is survived by her brother, Michael Rathburn, as well as her husband of 28 years, Hank Lord, and her daughter Erin. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, at 10:30 at South Canyon Lutheran Church, 700 44th Avenue West in Rapid City.
