Donald J Fousek, 61, of Rapid City, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

Donald James Fousek was born in Parkston, SD, on November 19, 1955, when Mom went into labor while driving to Mitchell from Tyndall, SD. Donald was number 8 in a family of 12 kids. Donald was predeceased by his father and mother Steven and Arliss, his sisters Talia Ann, Rosemary and his brother Jeffrey. He is survived by his brothers Robert, Michael, David, John and Steven and by his sisters Angela Bailey, Stephanie Foote and Crystal Musick and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private viewing at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Osheim Funeral home.   A memorial service is planned for September 30, 2017 at Bell Park Cemetary in Rochford to allow family members time to return to Rapid City.

The last few years of his life were difficult due to his heart condition. He enjoyed his job at Panera Bread and appreciated the fact that they allowed him to work when he was able.

Donald never married or had children, but he enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces. If you needed assistance, you only had to call and Donald would be there. Donald was always willing to take on any task. Sure, you might end up with a deck that was lopsided but you always knew he had good intentions. Donald's gentle soul will be missed.
