Obituary

RAPID CITY - Donald F. Hudson, 90, Rapid City, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include three sons, James Hudson, Rapid City, Mike Hudson, Neodesha, Kan., and Bill Hudson, Grove, Okla.; five daughters, Jean Hansen, Donna Collins, Patti Jaeger and Shirley Van Heuvelen, all of Rapid City, and Mary Jo Putnam, Lodgepole, Neb.; a sister, Gloria Rose Traversie, Faith; 35 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, with a 5 p.m. wake service at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church with Deacon LeRoy DeCory officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, with military honors provided by Rushmore VFW Post 1273.
