Obituary

Donald Alton Roberts, II, who lived a good life of over 80 years passed away July 14, 2012 at Golden LivingCenter-Black Hills in Rapid City. "I was born in Minneapolis, MN August 26, 1929 to Donald Alton and Helen (Burton) Roberts. I loved being the center of attention and the life of the party in work and play. My life included retiring as a Lt. Colonel Master Navigator from the Air force with the 305 Bomb Wing & 4th ACCS Squadron. I also retired from teaching high school math, science, & ROTC. I enjoyed scouts, Masonic Cascade Lodge #34, bridge, Toast Masters, Eagles, Elks, Moose, barbershop, music, dancing, jazz festivals, and travel. It was an honor to share my life with some truly great people My family is following my wishes that I not have a funeral. Remember me in your own way. I will rest back in Minneapolis, MN with the "Roberts" in Crystal Lake Cemetery. I am survived by my wife Bertha Roberts, Lewistown; my two children Don Roberts & Peggy Roberts-Titze, both of Rapid City and my grandchildren Denise Titze, Tempe, Ariz & Alisa (Nick) Titze Grothe, Shakopee, Minn. I request any memorials to be sent to Cascade Lodge #34, 6128 2nd Ave. N. Great Falls, MT 59405. "Thank you for a great flight. Don out."
