Donna Bunn, 86, of Billings, MT and formerly of Rapid City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Morningstar Senior Living in Billings, MT.

Donna Mae Covey was born on August 29, 1937 in Winner, SD to Chester and Winifred (Ferguson) Covey. She spent her early years on the family farm in Hamill, SD. She graduated high school from Winner High School in 1955. From there she would go on to get an Associates Degree from South Dakota State University, graduating in 1957. She married Bill Bunn on June 11, 1959 at the Methodist Church in Winner. After that they moved to Gregory, SD and would have three children: Bradley in 1961, Brian in 1963, and Lori in 1965. They moved to Rapid City in 1974 and she began her career in federal service in 1976. She retired in 1996 from the Department of Interior, Office of Hearings and Appeals.

Donna dedicated her life to Jesus and was baptized in 1954. She was a leader of Bible Study Fellowship for many years in Rapid City. She loved music and sang in numerous choirs in churches over the years. Together with Bill, they went on many trips and enjoyed going camping for many years with family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Bill, and brother Donald.

She is survived by son Bradley of Missouri, son Brian of Rapid City, daughter Lori of Billings, MT, granddaughter Kelsey (Nick) Balaoing, great-grandson Jack and another great-grandson on the way; three sisters and one brother.

Donna relied on the hope that Jesus provides through His death and resurrection. Her family is comforted with the knowledge that she is now in the arms of Jesus and reunited with her husband and her family.

Visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 24 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is 10:00 am Thursday, April 25 at Christ Church, 1900 Evergreen Drive.

Burial Service is 1:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
