Rapid City, South Dakota | Donna Forman (Kahuna Keonaona), 74, passed away peacefully. Monday, October 20th, 2025, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital.
Donna was born November 2nd, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of Max Leon and Diana Forman. She was a kind and caring individual that selflessly provided support to all who needed it. A well-versed student with a BA in math, an MBA, a PhD, and a certified hypnotist. Keonaona was Dean of the Huna Heiau Institute and taught math, healing, spirituality, and many other Huna lores. Donna was a force of nature: smart, funny, talented, and creative. Always with new ideas and interesting stories topped with a unique spice. She was a loved sister and the best aunt to have. She loved reading, editing, and anything purple. We will miss her always.
Survivors include brother Barr-Haim Forman, married to Jane of Denver, CO; sister Cyrelle Soffer, married to David of Jaffa, Israel; and sister-in-law Evy Musher-Shechter of NY, NY. Nieces and nephews: Lisa, Daniel, Naomi, Josh, Rafi, Dina, Ruti, and 17 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Gayl Shechter of New York.
